The upper is crafted from waxed nubuck leather and wrapped with a high protective rubber rand to handle knocks from rocks and roots. A waterproof, breathable GORE-TEX membrane keeps your feet dry when the weather turns. In the heel and ankle, Meindl’s MFS (Memory Foam System) uses body heat to mold to your foot for a pressure-free fit, while the DIGAfix lacing secures the heel and makes fine-tuning easy. Underfoot, a torsionally stiff Vibram Multigriff outsole provides steady traction on slick slabs, muddy paths, and loose stone. Combined with the higher shaft, you get dependable support and control on steeper sections—ideal when the steps are many and the days are long.
