The North Face Summit L3 Ventrix Hoody is a technical mid-layer from the Summit Series, built for high-output alpine days—think climbing, ski touring, and fast hiking. It slides neatly under a shell when the temperature drops, and works on its own in cool, dry conditions.

At the core is Ventrix™ insulation with micro-perforations that open as you move to release excess heat and moisture, then close when you slow down to retain warmth. The jacket uses lightweight, stretchy fabrics that breathe well, and a durable water-repellent finish to fend off light precipitation. Shoulders and forearms are reinforced for abrasion resistance with a pack or harness. A helmet-compatible hood, two harness-accessible hand pockets, and a chest pocket add practical storage, while the athletic fit is optimized for layering and free movement.
