The Mammut Ultimate VIII SO Hooded Jacket is the eighth-generation softshell—built for hiking, trekking, and alpine days year-round. It delivers reliable wind protection and weather resistance when the wind picks up on the trail, while breathing well at higher tempos.

The jacket is built from a durable, 3-layer WINDSTOPPER fabric from GORE‑TEX LABS with a PFC-free ePE membrane and recycled face and backing fabrics. The details are well considered: underarm ventilation zippers, a two-way front zipper, one chest pocket and two hand pockets with zippers. The hood is adjustable with a reinforced brim, the cuffs have comfortable thumbholes, and the hem adjusts easily with a repair-friendly drawcord. The finish is a PFC-free DWR and the construction is bluesign®-approved.

Wear it as an outer layer on windy days, or combine it with a mid-layer when temperatures drop.
