Black Diamond Mission Shell is a versatile ski shell built for long days both in-bounds and in the backcountry. It handles shifting weather with ease and works just as well worn on its own in milder conditions as it does over a warm midlayer when the temperature drops.

The jacket uses a durable 3-layer GORE-TEX construction for fully windproof, waterproof protection with dependable breathability. A tough 70D nylon face fabric with DWR sheds moisture, while the softly brushed interior adds comfort against skin or layers. The helmet-compatible hood adjusts quickly with the Cohaesive system, long two-way underarm zippers dump heat fast, and an integrated powder skirt helps keep snow out. Hook-and-loop cuffs fine-tune the fit, and the relaxed cut offers freedom of movement and room to layer.

Storage is generous: two hand pockets and two chest pockets, a sleeve pocket for a ski pass, plus two large internal mesh pockets sized for climbing skins or spare gloves.
