Product series: Solomon

Salomon's history dates back to 1947 when the Salomon family's wood sawing and ski edge workshop opened in central Annecy, France. In 1957, the first Salomon ski binding, called "le lift", was created, replacing the traditional leather strap binding. In 1966, Salomon invented the first ski binding with a self-releasing heel section, and Salomon bindings began to be used that same year at the World Championships in Portillo, Chile.

Their passion for outdoor sports, new technologies and craftsmanship has driven, and still drives, them to create progressive equipment that allows the user to challenge themselves in the great outdoors. Over the years, Salomon has broadened its range and today produces not only bindings for skis, but also everything from shoes and clothing to protection and additional ski equipment.
