POW - Protect Our Winters

POW is a politically independent, non-profit organization by and for outdoor enthusiasts who have decided to take action on the climate challenge.

We are a network of companies, organizations, and individuals who all share the common goal of contributing to and working for a sustainable planet. The work is led by a board and a growing number of members who work on a voluntary basis in various working groups. We are a diverse group with different philosophical approaches, old and young, with complementary skills and interests.

What unites us is our love for being outdoors in nature and our desire to protect it for our generation and future generations.We work by informing and educating outdoor enthusiasts on climate issues through campaigns, reports, events, and lectures. We engage and inspire through social media, film productions, and our ambassadors.

We put climate issues on the agenda by debating and demonstrating, talking to politicians, and creating public opinion.

We are proud to be part of a global movement of POW organizations, where since 2019 we have been involved in creating a strong European structure with the aim of being able to influence and promote sustainable development at a higher level across national borders.
