Product series: Oakley
The man behind the popular sunglasses brand is Jim Jannard, and in 1975 he started manufacturing a product he called "The Oakley Grip". A grip for BMX and motocross bikes that made it easier for cyclists to hold onto the handlebars. This innovative and groundbreaking idea was greatly appreciated in these sports.
In 1980, Jim Jannard decided to continue with Oakley, and therefore came out on the market with their first Oakley sunglasses called O-frame. This product was also intended for the BMX and motocross sports, which were growing rapidly at that time. Oakley sunglasses quickly became popular among cyclists here, which led Jannard to choose to broaden the brand to include skiing. Since then, Oakley's range of products has grown significantly, and today you can get Oakley sunglasses for almost all types of sports. At the same time, big stars such as André Agassi and Greg LeMond have also helped make the brand as popular as it is today because of their own great love for the brand.
