Extreme skiers Sverre Liliequist and Kaj Zackrisson wanted a hat that wouldn't itch, so they took out their crochet hooks. Soon their friends wanted hats too. To meet the demand, they decided to start the brand Kask.

After 18 years of operation, Kaj and Sverre chose to sell the Kask brand to the other Italian brand Kask, which manufactured ski helmets.
