Bergans Lightline Progressive Pants are lightweight, breathable softshell pants built for high-output days on the trail and in the mountains. Ideal for speed hikes and other fast-paced missions where you want freedom to move and quick-drying comfort.

The design uses a hybrid of three high-performing softshell fabrics with 4-way stretch, strategically placed to balance protection, ventilation, and durability. The main fabric over the thighs and the front of the lower legs features a PFAS-free water-repellent finish that sheds light precipitation. Reinforcements cover high-wear areas at the seat and knees, while a more elastic fabric behind the knees keeps your stride fluid. The close, slim fit stays out of the way when the pace picks up, and the material choices focus on sustainability with a high share of recycled fibers and bluesign-approved fabrics.

Thoughtful details round it out: an elastic waist with adjustment, articulated knees, and a zippered hem gusset to fit cleanly over hiking boots. Two zippered hand pockets keep small essentials secure; one includes an internal phone sleeve and room for a map. A gusseted crotch reduces friction and chafing, and reflective details enhance visibility in low light.
