Black Diamond Equipment is a manufacturer of climbing, skiing and mountain sports equipment, based in Utah, USA.

The story of Black Diamond began with climber Yvon Chouinard , who began his career selling handmade climbing equipment from the trunk of his car. What started with an anvil and hammer later evolved into the Black Diamond brand in 1965.
